I am a Bethesda, Maryland based artist who has been painting for over twenty years. I started with oil paints doing figures and portraits, and later transitioned to painting outdoors in a style known as "Plein Air" painting. Most recently, I began studio painting with an opaque watercolor medium called gouache. I paint mostly local scenes in the Washington, D.C. area, but gouache has allowed me to experiment painting while traveling, as well as create some studio work from photographs. I frequently show and sell my work. I have had five solo shows over the past decade.
